Dinner at our house usually consists of something that is easy & quick to throw together. Don’t get me wrong, I love to cook, but I also homeschool 3 nerdlings as well as run two blogs! That doesn’t leave a lot of time to make a nice dinner every night of the week!
Even if you don’t have children, chances are standing in front of the stove at the end of the day is not something you’re looking forward to. Making the most of your freezer to help with times like those is possible! From basic staples like sauces and beans to comforting soups and casseroles, cooking large batches of food ahead of time will save your sanity and time in the long run.
You can dedicate a whole day to cooking up multiple recipes, or just double each of these recipes the night you make it, and stash the second batch in the freezer. Doubling a recipe only takes a little extra prep time overall, but the results are so worth it!
