Bring Dove Channel Home for the Holidays

Thank you to Dove Channel for providing us with an annual Dove Channel subscription and a Roku Streaming Stick for this post.Bring Dove Channel Home for the Holidays

The holidays are right around the corner and you may have a few people on the list that you just can’t seem to find a gift for.  Dove Channel is a great gift idea since it is something that the whole family can enjoy! For just $4.99 a month, Dove Channel has more than 900 hours of TV and movies—all stories that will delight, inspire and challenge your family, reinforcing good values, celebrating triumphs and lifting spirits.

And all the programs have been vetted by The Dove Foundation to ensure they are family friendly. Members also have access to Dove Channel’s unique customization tool that allows you personalize your viewing experience. Choose your Dove ratings and safe-guard settings to create a list of your very own preferred titles and find something for everyone to watch!

We have been enjoying Dove Channel on our Roku Streaming Stick with our three nerdlings, ages 8, 10, and 14. You can find the Roku channel here and also watch it on iOS and Android devices. We also have Netflix but a lot of these shows and movies available on Dove Channel are not available on there.

The first show that we watched together as a family was VeggieTales: Lord of the Beans. Our youngest is 8 years old but who doesn’t love VeggieTales?! It feels so great letting the kids choose what they want to watch without needing to sit next to them to make sure it is really a ‘family-friendly’ show or movie. There are some old shows, such as Highway to Heaven, Fraggle Rock, Abbott & Costello, and even Little Rascals (Our Gang)! You can even get in some fun education with the many educational shows and movies available, such as BabyFirst, historical documentaries, biblical shows. Right now, you can find a huge list of nice Christmas programs to watch to help get into the holiday spirit!
