Explore & Discover at the Orlando Science Center!

We recently made a trip to explore and discover at the Orlando Science Center in Orlando, FL, and it was a perfect little homeschool field trip. It had been many, many years since the hubs and I had visited, so it felt completely new to us – not in a bad way though, because OSC is always adding exciting new exhibits!

The Orlando Science Center is a hands‑on science museum dedicated to inspiring science learning for life. It’s a place where curiosity and innovation come alive for all ages, with interactive exhibits, live demonstrations, and immersive experiences that make science accessible, engaging, and fun for families and learners of every age.

I got so caught up having hands-on fun that I didn’t take as many pictures as usual – and the ones I did get aren’t the best, since the kids were running from exhibit to exhibit! Plus, I had just gotten my new phone days before and hadn’t had a chance to really learn how to use it.

When you arrive, you park in the garage and can either take the elevator or stairs up to the main entrance. The teen and I opted for the stairs. Once up top, you walk across a bridge over the road below that is completely surrounded by glass – except for the floor! My teen struggles with heights, so she grabbed my arm and we walked across as fast as we could. It was actually pretty funny!

After paying for admission, each person receives an armband, which I assume allows you to exit and return later. We didn’t leave until we were ready to go, so I can’t confirm this personally.

The center has four floors full of engaging exhibits, and we made our way up the spiral stairs to explore each one.

OSC also hosts many traveling exhibits, and during our visit, we got to see:

  • Hands-On Harley-Davidson™ – the hubs enjoyed this one, of course!
  • The Wizard of Oz™ Educational Exhibit – a fun, interactive experience for the kids.

Typical museum pricing applies:

  • Adult: $19.95
  • Youth (3–11): $13.95
  • Senior (55+): $17.95
  • Student with ID: $17.95
  • 2 & Under: FREE

Prices and content are subject to change.

OSC also offers the Science for All – General Admission Access Program, where EBT recipients can receive $3 admission per person for up to six individuals.
