Nutella is basically a food group in this house. I will choose it over peanut butter every single time without a second thought. For years my go-to was either a sandwich with marshmallow fluff or straight on toast, which honestly is not a bad life. The kids have been a little more adventurous – spooning it into homemade milkshakes, adding it to everything. One of them made a chocolate banana milkshake with Nutella and I almost didn’t give it back.
But I knew there had to be more. So I went digging, and what I found was a whole world of Nutella recipes I had been sleeping on. Breakfast, dessert, snacks – it turns out this dreamy chocolate-hazelnut spread goes with just about everything. I may or may not have eaten several spoonfuls straight from the jar during my research. It’s basically a requirement.
And yes, I even found recipes for making homemade Nutella, which feels like a dangerous level of power to have.
