Daily Deals from a Nerd Mom

Navigating Life 🎮 One Nerdy Adventure at a Time

About

Curious by nature, nerd by choice.
I’m Jess – self‑confessed all‑around nerd, gamer, longtime homeschooling mom turned content creator. My journey began about 15 years ago when I started a homeschool journal called Benoit Academy to share resources and free printables with friends. That eventually evolved into Daily Deals from a Nerd Mom, where I mixed in parenting, product reviews, giveaways, recipes, and lifestyle insights.

For a long time, I focused on sharing free or budget-friendly resources – a nod to my Pinterest-addicted past. But as life shifted (and blogging burnout set in), I realized I needed to evolve. I may have typed “mom” in the blog title, but deals became less of my identity.

Now? I write about real life – the caregiving highs and lows, supporting loved ones through health challenges (including aging family members and my husband), the nerdy finds that spark joy, the reviews and reflections, and yes, the occasional nostalgic rabbit hole.

What to Expect Here

  • Lifestyle & caregiving resources from someone navigating life with loved ones facing health challenges.
  • Geeky culture, gaming adventures, fandom reflections, and fun product obsessions you might not expect.
  • Homemaking, wellness, and self-care tips grounded in real day-to-day experience.
  • No more deal fatigue – just honest content, occasional recommendations, and heartfelt connection.

Why Feet Stay Rooted in “Nerd”

You’ll always find me in the details – whether it’s gaming, exploring nerdy culture, or reviewing the latest wellness gadget. Being a nerd is about passion, curiosity, and unapologetically loving what I love.
