There are certain school supplies that are must-haves. Pencil sharpeners and scissors are definitely a few of them. It seems like we can never have enough scissors in this house and when you need them the most, they disappear! Pencil sharpeners are a no-brainer but with 3 kids, we needed a good electric one to get the job done quick and easy. It is such a pain to sit there & use those little manual sharpeners when all 3 kids need a sharp pencil point. What grabbed my attention on this pencil sharpener is the fact that it can be used with an AC adapter OR USB connection OR batteries (4 AA)! Where we would ideally set it up wasn’t accessible to a power outlet so we use the USB plug to connect it to our laptop charger. The sharpener sits right next to the laptop and doesn’t take up much space on the already tiny desk. It is not a very loud sharpener which is always a plus. Having 3 different options for power is such a great idea when you do not have space.
Another neat feature is the 3 step adjustable pencil point. You can adjust how sharp you want the pencil with a slide of a button: Blunt, Medium and Sharp. Sharpening is simple by just inserting the pencil into the hole on top and it starts automatically. Take out the pencil when done and it then shuts off automatically. There is a safety feature which is that if the shaving casing is not attached, the sharpener will not turn on. This is perfect since the kids are the ones who use this the most here. When the casing becomes full, simply remove it from the front, dump and then reattach.

3 Piece Stainless Scissor Set
This set comes with 3 different sized stainless steel scissors: 8.5″, 6.5″ and 5.5″. This way you can have the right pair of scissors for getting the job done with their smooth cutting. I keep these on my desk and use them to open packages and the kids use them for a variety of reasons. They have a great blue and black colored handles that are soft and comfortable. Each pair has sharp edges and are very durable. These should last us many, many years!
