If you haven’t heard of Rosanna Pansino (or better known as Ro) then you are seriously missing out! Rosanna is the adorkable host of the insanely popular YouTube channel, Nerdy Nummies. She blends her two loves together, geek culture and baking, into awesomely delicious looking treats. Ro’s newest geeky adventure is her long-awaited first ever cookbook, The Nerdy Nummies Cookbook: Sweet Treats for the Geek in All of Us.
This cookbook contains some of Rosanna’s favorite geeky recipes as well as some new ones exclusive to this book! These take up about 2/3 of the book! I am so excited to have been able to get a review copy of the book and to share with you some sneak peeks of the book so, as Ro would say, Let’s Get Started!

She is a Washington native who moved to Los Angeles after graduating college to start her own production company. She launched Nerdy Nummies in late 2011, and the show’s audience grew very quickly. Her videos have been viewed more than one billion times—making Rosanna one of the most-watched personalities on YouTube. The Nerdy Nummies Cookbook is her first book.

The recipes start out with basic ones, such as Apple Pie, various cakes, cookies, frosting, and marshmallow fondant. These will be incorporated into the really geeky recipes!

Not only is this a cookbook, it can also be educational! Each recipe has a small blurb at the beginning that can teach you something that you may not have known about, such as these geodes below:
We discovered her a few years ago when I was looking for a gingerbread TARDIS tutorial and I came upon her video of one. I was hooked and soon my youngest daughter, who was probably 6 years old at that time, was obsessed. To this day, she can sit and watch her all day if I let her! I have it set to email me when she uploads a new video and my daughter will drop what she is doing to watch. This has sparked a major love of baking in her as a young child and I cannot thank Ro enough!
Make sure to check out Rosanna’s book tour to see if she is coming to a city near you starting in November. I just found out that she will be in a few places near us and I am way over the moon excited!
Edited 11/15/15: We were able to make it to her book signing and was so excited to have been able to get a pic with Ro! She is even more adorkable in person and so super sweet. We were all a bit ‘star-struck’:
