10 Free Things to See & Do in Daytona Beach
Daytona Beach, FL is just a hop, skip and a jump from us. We love to get out and do things during the summer but, with a family of 5, that can tend to break the bank. I was excited to find 10 Free Things to See & Do in Daytona Beach because having fun doesn’t always mean spending tons of money.
This summer, The Original American Beach offers plenty of family-friendly affordability, including a list of 10 Free Things to See & Do! The destination is in the midst of investing close to $2 billion in renovations and construction, features a recently opened oceanfront rollercoaster, a new planetarium and art museum, and a $5 million renovation of the ever-popular Volusia Mall.
The list begins with touring the Angell & Phelps Chocolate Factory and ends at Sunsplash Park, one of many free beachside parks. To see all the fun in between, check out 10 Free Things to See & Do.
The FREE Bandshell Summer Concert Series – Daytona Beach’s historic Bandshell’s free concert line-up features a series of tribute bands – including U2, James Taylor, (Daytona Beach natives) the Allman Brothers Band, and more – performing Saturday nights through September 19. Come early, enjoy the Ocean Walk Village and Shoppes, stroll the Daytona Beach Boardwalk and Pier, grab an ice cream and settle in for a musical night, with fireworks over the Atlantic to follow. Check out the calendar at DaytonaBeach.com for “Free Concert Fridays,” too.
